SEOUL, South Korea – 4th October 2024 – Hyundai Mobis, the parts and service arm of Hyundai Motors, unveiled 65 mobility technology innovations at its 2024 R&D Tech Day, set to be commercially viable within the next two to three years.
The announcement followed its record R&D investment of 1.7 trillion KRW ($1.2 billion), as the company reinforces its leadership in the automotive industry.
With an unprecedented R&D investment of 1.7 trillion KRW in electrification, vehicle safety and autonomous driving, Hyundai Mobis presented 65 cutting-edge mobility innovations expected to be publicly available in two to three years.
Hyundai Mobis showcased its significant breakthroughs at the 2024 R&D Tech Day at the Uiwang Research Center. The advances included aspects of autonomous driving, EV charging, vehicle-to-everything tech, parking assistance systems and integration of generative AI.
The company revealed advancements such as the 3-in-1 integrated drive system, thermal management battery systems, and next-generation power conversion technologies, establishing Hyundai Mobis at the forefront of global mobility trends.
It also unveiled three key research and development initiatives with an emphasis on electrification components to secure its leadership in power conversion, battery systems, and global electrification.
Moreover, exhibits on cutting-edge AI integration for vehicle maintenance, regenerative braking systems, and high-performance sensors and radars attracted interest from visitors. The visitors also witnessed Hynudai’s next-generation product lines that aim to address emerging mobility trends.
