Storykit’s AI Video Solution Transforms NTM Newsrooms

October 8, 2024-Sweden, Stockholm.-Swedish media group NTM has announced a strategic partnership with Storykit to speed up the video production process of its 320 reporters by employing the latest artificial intelligence technologies.

This new feature enables reporters to shoot and edit the video directly from the online publishing tool with the press of a button, replacing the need for in-house training, and hence offering a self-service option for video development.

The new equipment is now being used in all NTM’s newsrooms which outputs news for 18 local newspapers with a potential readership of over 700, 000 Swedes a day.

This particular technology is considered very helpful for many newsrooms which have been trying to adjust to the challenges posed by the unique requirement for increased video coverage of stories to keep the audiences in the modern digital age.

“This solution is a real bullseye.”, This was what NTM’s AI Strategy & Editorial Developer, Jörgen Bröms, stated

“when writing about Storykit’s ability to expand the video production without bursting the current video unit. The journalists are able to concentrate on the story instead of worrying about the intricate details of video editing software.”.

With the integration of Storykit’s API, reporters do not need to leave their reporting and can create videos with tools such as content management systems (CMS) or collaboration tools like Slack.

“The time saved, and the simplicity is groundbreaking,”
Bröms emphasized, underlining how this coupling alters the existing situation.

Powershift the AI-based solution is about to be extended to all the NTM reporters, hence the localization of news through videos will change forever, in a way that will transform by increasing viewer interaction with the content.
