UK Housing Leader Home Group Adopts Oracle Cloud for Core Syste

London [UK] — October 15 2024Home Group, one of the top housing associations in the UK, has successfully migrated its entire core business onto Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, which is an important step in the digital transformation journey of the organization.

This helps Home Group to streamline its structures, enhance its agility, and reduce operational expenses considerably. Providing support to 125 thousand customers currently in over 56000 housing units situated in England and Scotland, Home Group would like to harness the capabilities of OCI to cater to the increasing demand for lower-cost housing and social services provision.

OCI provides a high level of performance, security, and scalability. This is expected to modernize Home Group’s critical support functions and effective back office systems such as finance, human resource, planning and procurement.

The cloud deployment would also further boost the level of security and efficiency of business operations such that the organization would be able to save and redeploy the funds spent on overheads on more housing development and community projects.

“Our focus at Home Group has always been on building homes, independence, and aspirations to make a real difference in people’s lives, especially in times of economic uncertainty,”

Said Simon Parker Director of IS of , Home Group.

“Migrating our business platform to OCI provides us with the cloud performance, security, availability, and cost efficiencies that enable us to reinvest our capital where it is needed the most to support our customers and their communities.”

The savings that the introduction of IT in the form of the cloud is expected to bring to a number of clients will allow Home Group to commit more funds to housing health and social care which is the core business of the institution.

Nick Wallace, Vice President, of Oracle UK Cloud Sales, elaborated on the importance of this change in the following statement,

” Home Group is the forerunner in the not for profit sector’s swift adoption of cloud technology. We at Oracle are glad to support their mission through the scalable, secure resources provided by OCI.”

More in-depth research is being carried out with regard to the potential permanent effects associated with the migration with respect to the general performance of the Home Group and also the satisfaction they obtain from customers.
