Nasscom, DIC Collaborate To Boost UAE And India’s Tech Growth

Dubai Internet City Partners With Nasscom On Tech Innovation

Dubai, UAE – 18th October 2024 – The National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nasscom) and Dubai Internet City (DIC), the premier digital hub in the region, have joined forces to promote technical innovation and talent development. The strategic partnership, announced at GITEX Global, aims to improve cross-border cooperation between the UAE and India.

Dubai Internet City, owned by TECOM Group, is a dedicated technology business district. The partnership will give Nasscom members easy access to Dubai’s technology hub, including 3,500 multinational businesses, Fortune 500 companies, and over 29,000 professionals..

Ammar Al Malik, the Managing Director of DIC and Executive Vice President of TECOM Group, highlighted how the collaboration will empower business owners in both countries to expand their global presence. He added,

“Dubai Internet City’s collaboration with Nasscom is a testament to the legacy and uniquely entrepreneurial spirit that has defined bilateral ties between both our nations over five decades.”

India’s leading technology trade body, Nasscom, includes more than 3000 businesses that will be able to attend Dubai Internet City’s workshops and use TECOM Group’s D/Quarters co-working spaces. Talking about the partnership, Vice President of Nasscom, Shivendra Singh, expressed,

“This agreement is a pivotal step in accelerating market access for Indian tech companies in the Middle East, a region we view as a critical growth driver for our industry.”

The partnership will make it easier for tech businesses in India and UAE to scale and act on new opportunities to drive growth. Moreover, the partners will also exchange AI & IoT expertise, collaborate on research projects and collaborate with major tech companies like Microsoft, Google, and Nvidia.

The alliance was formalized during GITEX Global, the world’s largest technology event, with Dubai Internet City acting as a Knowledge Partner for the event. The announcement reinforces both countries’ commitment to building a strong foundation for technology innovation through strategic partnerships.
