October 23, 2024, Singapore – Singtel and Ericsson effective today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) defining the joint vision to optimize network resources for Communication Service Providers (CSPs) and enterprise customers.
Available through Singtel’s Paragon platform and Ericsson’s service orchestration and assurance, the partnership provides a zero-touch, real-time solution to the order and provisioning of modern 5G network services.
The overhead system will capitalize on Singtel’s Paragon, which is recognized globally as an established 5G edge compute and cloud services center, merged with Ericsson’s orchestration functions.
Providing enterprises with self-service APIs significantly enables enterprises to order and manage 5G services automatically, for instance, eliminating the complications associated with manual provisioning.
Such a cloud-native service is expected to shorten service deployment from days to minutes, allowing CSPs to tap into new sources of revenue.
“We see in this collaboration with Singtel the potential for greatly increased interest, uptake, and profitability of 5G services for enterprises,”
Said Mats Karlsson, Head of Solution Area Business and Operations Support Systems at Ericsson.
“This partnership brings a perfect combination to overcome challenges holding enterprises back.”
Manoj Prasanna Kumar, CTO of Singtel Digital InfraCo, added.
“The strategic partnership strengthens the joint value proposition, allowing telcos to monetize their infrastructure rapidly.”
The solution will comply with industry-standard APIs that will allow integration to existing CSP networks with ease.
