Bengaluru, India – October 24, 2024 – Infosys, a leading provider of global digital services, has launched two revolutionary small language models, which is a big step towards the implementation of enterprise AI. The most recent invention by the company, in conjunction with NVIDIA, presents the Infosys Topaz BankingSLM and the Infosys Topaz ITOpsSLM targeted at the banking and IT operation sectors respectively.
The models incorporate NVIDIA’s AI Enterprise platform and AI Foundry with support from Sarvam AI. These variant models are seamlessly integrated within the existing portfollio from Infosys comprising of Infosys Finacle and Infosys Topaz, enabling users to receive enterprise-focused AI applications that meet localization requirements.
“Our focus is now on delivering foundational small language models as services for businesses to build on,” stated Balakrishna D. R. (Bali), Executive Vice President, Global Services Head, AI and Industry Verticals at Infosys.
As part of this initiative, a dedicated center of excellence showcasing an A.I. experience zone will be established to demonstrate solutions from the two companies.
Jay Puri, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations at NVIDIA, emphasized the transformation potential, stating, “Generative AI and recent advancements in agentic and physical AI are ushering in a new era of innovation and productivity for enterprises worldwide.”
The collaboration goes further than the development of models and includes NIM™ Agent Blueprints that help in AI application development as well as digital human capabilities for enhanced customer service. This collaboration also seeks to improve the development of digitalization by making use of NVIDIA Omniverse Enterprise and enforcing responsible AI usage through the NVIDIA NeMo Guardrails.
This strategic initiative is an important milestone in the journey of enterprise AI as it provides business with capabilities to create and manage bespoke AI solutions without compromising on security and compliance.
