IBM Integrates Apptio Product Portfolio With the Microsoft Cloud

On 29 October – IBM announced bringing the EAP’s (enterprise agile planning) Apptio portfolio, cloud FinOps solutions, and IT financial management to Microsoft Azure.

Added to that was the announcement of their IBM software availability expansion on a global level on Azure Marketplace, which will make it easier for users to purchase software directly from and use the Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment.

As leaders from the IT industry grapple with the rising tech budgets and the needs of managing AI-fueled computation, they are experiencing rising pressure of proving their investment value.

The IBM Targetprocess EAP software, which is now available on Azure Marketplace, helps financial teams and portfolio managers plan and handle budgets while aligning workforces across different technology priorities and applying TBM (technology business management) industry practices.

The acquisition of Apptio as IBM’s native SaaS solution, Targetprocess integration with Azure DevOps will provide increased efficiencies, potential cost reductions, and simplified management by enabling customers to employ Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitments.

IBM Targetprocess improves the capabilities of Azure DevOps and provides end-to-end visibility while supporting different agile frameworks such as SAFe. It also offers utmost flexibility in tune with the business practices of every organization to provide transparency for labor allocation and tech expenditure.

For purchases of enterprise IT products, users prefer Azure Marketplace as it allows them to buy their choice of software and reduce their investments on Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment. This allows access to different IBM technologies, such as Streamsets, webMethods, Integration Suite, SingleStoreDB SaaS, Netezza SaaS, and Aspera on Cloud SaaS.

The collaboration between Microsoft and IBM is built on a shared aim for hybrid and multi-cloud transformation that satisfies customer needs and runs the correct workload at the correct places.

IBM is the top provider of AI and hybrid cloud, helping clients in over 175 countries, capitalizing on data insights, streamlining business processes, reducing costs, and gaining competitive edge in the industry. Its AI innovations, industry specific quantum computing, and cloud solutions deliver flexible options to the clients and thousands of entities across corporate and government, including telecommunications, healthcare, and financial services rely on these IBM products and platforms.
