November 11, 2024, Abu Dhabi, UAE-e & Emirates Telecommunications and Ericsson have formally agreed and signed the memorandum of understanding for the Collaborative exploration of the 6G technology.
This announcement made today seeks to address a set of needs namely possible applications of 6G technology and the development of joint research and technical discussions Towards the future of mobile networks.
Since 6G is anticipated to change the paradigm of connectivity around the world by integrating the tangible and the digital, this partnership helps place UAE as one of the spearheads in the emerging 6G environment.
The partnership will enable both Ericsson and e& UAE to work on developing a number of 6G foundations including cognitive networks, enhanced compute fabric, and sustainable connectivity.
