November 27, 2024 – Seoul, South Korea- LG and Nokia Arena have set a new benchmark in digital transformation by winning the prestigious 2024 Seoul Smart City Prize in the Human-CentriCity category.
Their groundbreaking collaboration integrates AI-driven LED signage and smart technology across the multi-leisure complex in Tampere, Finland, redefining visitor experiences in public venues.
The centerpiece of this innovation is LG’s state-of-the-art digital signage, covering 1,245 square meters of the arena. The system includes 456 units of advanced monitor signage, an immersive 180-square-meter LED cube, and a 550-meter Outdoor Ribbon Board, all powered by AI to optimize content display and audience engagement.
“Our solutions aim to deliver not only stunning visuals but also meaningful digital inclusivity,” Said Lee Sang-min, Senior VP at LG Electronics.
Recognized for promoting human-centered technology, Nokia Arena demonstrates how AI can transform public spaces.
“This is a leap towards integrating smart solutions that prioritize human interaction,” Said Jaakko Kari, Nokia Arena’s Operations Director.
