Bengaluru, India – According to the Bosch Tech Compass Survey, India has emerged as a global leader in AI education. The Report indicates that more than 50% of Indians self-learn AI skills while 57% receive AI training from their employers, overstepping Germany, other European nations, and even the U.S. itself, in readiness for AI.
The survey records India’s growing trend toward adopting AI as 89% of the respondents feel that AI technology will play a critical role in shaping the future. An encouraging 59% of Indians take up even basic AI courses or self-study, fueled by a collective drive to bring AI skills into both work and education. Schools and universities are also stepping up to prepare the next generation, with 63% of global respondents supporting AI becoming a standalone subject in schools.

This year’s report emphasizes on the accelerating need for AI skills at the workplace and how we can harness it for greater productivity and success. The survey also points to some challenges, which include the risk of job displacement (manual and cognitive jobs), plagiarism, and rising social inequality. 86% of respondents felt that binding codes of conduct should govern the ethical use of AI in corporations to address all these concerns.
The report also reflects India’s unique outlook on AI’s potential. As many as 68% of respondents from India felt that AI would one day win a Nobel Prize, while 76% felt that robots controlled by AI could break world records at the Olympics. 72% also see AI as being capable of resolving political conflicts in the future. It is indicative of the fantastic imagination and forward-looking vision this nation has.
Carried out across seven countries, Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, the UK, and the US, the Bosch Tech Compass Survey 2025 examines global interests in emerging technologies. The findings position India as a trailblazer in AI education and innovation, setting a world standard toward responsible and effective leverage of AI for societal good.
This landmark development makes India poised to spearhead the global revolution in AI and build an AI-literate society that is prepared to navigate an increasingly technology-driven world.
