Fujitsu to Showcase AI-Enhanced Networks and 5G Tech at MWC Barcelona 2025

Kawasaki, Japan – Fujitsu will take part in Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2056 (MWC25) to showcase AI network technologies under the theme “Boundless Potential.” AI-driven innovation will be presented on AI-driven 5G, optical networks, and enterprise AI applications at booth 2G60 in Hall 2.

Visitors will be able to experience demonstrations of AI-enhanced network infrastructure in practice – the AI-RAN solution allocates resources on GPU servers, bringing about higher efficiency. A showcase will include a Fujitsu O-RAN-compliant 5G Radio Unit (RU) along with its respective 1FINITY series optical transmission solution for enabling zero-latency switching.

Fujitsu will also promote AI applications for improved IT operations, manufacturing, and environmental sustainability. Ocean digital twin technology, which harnesses AI and autonomous underwater vehicles, will showcase solutions for marine conservation and infrastructure maintenance.

The next FUJITSU-MONAKA being developed is a high-performance processor intended to accelerate AI workloads while preserving power consumption. This processor is currently under development and is expected to be complete by 2027.

Live demonstrations will showcase ways AI is enhancing network design, maintenance, and optimization. AI-based smart fault recovery solutions will show how quickly network failures are identified and resolved, thereby minimizing downtime. Fujitsu will also exhibit a network resource optimization system that optimizes the assignment of network resources toward energy efficiency in Beyond 5G networks.

Fujitsu’s use cases will showcase how its AI offerings contribute to the transformation of sustainability by optimizing supply chains, enhancing operational efficiency, and enabling carbon-neutral initiatives.

MWC Barcelona 2025 will be held in Fira Gran Via, Barcelona, Spain, from March 3 to 6, 2025, with Fujitsu’s exhibition showing insights into the future of AI networking and enterprise transformation.
