Ericsson AI Solution Elevates Mobily's 5G Network in Saudi Arabia

Dec 10, 2024, Riyadh – Ericsson and Mobily have successfully completed an AI-based 5G trial which showcased the transformational abilities of Ericsson’s Cognitive Software portfolio. This landmark initiative realized an 80% increase in transmissions of high quality while optimizing network operations and enhancing user experience over Mobily’s network. The trial also matched Saudi Vision 2030 with special enhancements in digital infrastructure. 

The Uplink Interference Optimizer module used in the trial proved most beneficial in boosting spectral efficiency and throughput, resulting in direct user benefits with faster upload speeds and better 5G connectivity. This achievement underlines how Artificial Intelligence meets the rising demands of mobile services and makes Saudi Arabia a leader in the digital era.

“Partnering with Ericsson in this trial highlights our commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enhance the customer experience,” said Alaa Malki, Chief Technology Officer at Mobily.
