Google AI Mode Expands to More Users After Initial Glitch

The tech giant, Google, has started to expand its most-awaited AI Mode to a second wave of users after its initial limited launch on March 5th for Google One AI Premium subscribers.

After a long period where invite links failed to function properly, the feature is now accessible for those who opted in and are based in the United States.

In order to access AI Mode, users will have to visit Google.com and type their queries in the Search bar, then tap the “AI Mode” tab below. In the next step, users will have to search for the AI Mode tab via google.com/aimode. Finally, they can open the Google app and tap the AI Mode icon located just below the Search bar.

Despite the excitement around AI Mode, the initial launch was not without hiccups. Google sent out invitations at around 5:20 PM ET today, but many users faced errors when attempting to access the feature.

The “Try Now” button prompted users to opt in and wait, leaving many searchers confused. This glitch, however, was swiftly resolved, which allows users to experience Google’s AI Mode shortly after.

What is Google AI Mode?

Google AI Mode is a new feature that makes Google Search smarter and more helpful. Instead of showing you a list of links, it gives you clear and detailed answers, especially when your question needs more research or comparison.

Right now, only users who are part of the Google Search Labs experiment can try AI Mode. It saves time by gathering and organizing information for you, so you don’t have to sort through multiple results.
