Paris, France, November 22, 2024- Huawei’s 2024 Europe Innovation Day in Paris brought together tech leaders and policymakers to address the challenges and opportunities in Europe’s digital transformation.
The discussions centered on the transformative power of artificial intelligence (AI) in reshaping industries and fostering global competitiveness.
Themed “Unleashing the Potential of European Innovation,” the event underscored the necessity of cross-border cooperation to boost Europe’s position in the global digital economy.

He emphasized AI’s ability to bring diverse perspectives together for impactful solutions.
Keynote speakers stressed Europe’s lagging progress in AI adoption and digital infrastructure.
Nicola Caputo, Regional Minister of Campania, noted,
“We need unified strategies to address gaps in AI literacy, commercial adoption, and 5G coverage.”
Meanwhile, Laurent Lafforgue, a mathematician at Huawei Technologies France, highlighted the significance of foundational theories in driving sustainable technological advances.
Huawei reaffirmed its commitment to fostering AI innovation with initiatives like a sustainability-focused startup incubation program at Station F, designed to empower emerging businesses in retail, automotive, and manufacturing.

Zhu Xiaoming, Vice President of Huawei Cloud Global Industry Development, pointed out that Europe lags behind its 2030 Digital Decade targets, particularly in AI integration and digital skills training.
The event concluded with a call to action from Tony Yong Jin, Director of Business Environment Affairs, urging stakeholders to embrace AI as a cornerstone for Europe’s sustainable and inclusive future.
