Huawei Unveils All-Optical Network Solution for Smart Hotels at GITEX 2024

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, October 17 2024 – During GITEX 2024, Huawei announced its All-Optical Network Technical and Application White Paper for Smart Hotels.

This report also presents a groundbreaking Fiber-to-the-office (FTTO) technology, and it is focused on transforming the hospitality industry through improved network infrastructure and guest experience.

This report advances a set of networking-related challenges and gaps that smart hotel operators will encounter, as well as how to enhance and manage network infrastructure and seamless Wi-Fi networks.

Building a two-layer-flat structure instead of switching traditional three-layer up as this is a simpler way that Huawei has adopted and cut down the chances of network failures considerably.

“The FTTO all-optical network solution for smart hotel is green and simplified. It has significant advantages in architecture, bandwidth, O&M costs, deployment scope, and service life.”

Liu Yue, Vice President of Enterprise Optical Domain at Huawei said.

Some of the salient features of the proposed solution include high speed of transmission, easy roaming, and a high level of security. The system of Huawei is equipped with an optical line terminal on passive optical LAN technologies suitable for different environments;

Whether resorts at the beach or hotels situated in the metropolitan. This robust structure promises the same degree of quality over time while minimizing operating troubles too.

The economic upheaval accentuated by the pandemic forged many new trends and reshaped old ones in the hotel and restaurant industry. Combining hospitality offerings with advanced technology became the primary focus.

A continuing technology rollout strategy was detailed in Huawei’s white paper and can streamline hotel operations even further with superior guest experience.

Currently, this technology is in the nascent stages, yet several international hotel chains have turned to Huawei for deploying the FTTO network solution.

With the increasing volume of AI-integrated smart hotels, Huawei’s advancement establishes them as the vanguards over the future digital hospitality landscape.
