Istanbul, Türkiye, November 4, 2024 — At the Global Mobile Broadband Forum 2024 (MBBF 2024) Huawei launched its Antenna Digitalization White Paper, which institutions technology and methodology affecting both details and the direction of mobile antennas crucial for the era of AI.
In an age where industries are witness to the impacts of AI on their day-to-day operations, the report underlines antennas as key components in intelligent networks of the future and she focuses on the specific area where digitized antennas come in and that is, to facilitate the automation of information and its exchange across the wireless networks in real-time.
The white paper raises issues about the nature of antennas which need to be designed to be maintainable and adjustable in many orientations thus bringing new capabilities to enabling advanced intelligent optimization.
Networks will be empowered by ever-increasing levels of precision engineering data and dynamically shaped beams enabling real-time optimization of connectivity.
This vision of Huawei which believes smart antennas have this functionality and that it is the core supporting architecture for model-based AI for networks.
Andy Sun, President of Huawei’s Antenna Business Unit, was quoted as saying about this vision:
“The paper summarizes the opinions of industry partners, opinions of scholars, and the largest share of Huawei specialists. There is no way around antennas to build intelligent networks. The goal of Huawei is to combine efforts everywhere and advance efforts in the development and implementation of digital antenna technology.”
Huawei aims to revolutionize how antennas are designed with the introduction of antenna arrays. The introduction of fifth-generation networks provides an opportunity to better integrate antenna designs and shapes.
Huawei also believes enhancing antenna technology is essential for developing AI technology that would further develop the networks in the future.
