[Seoul, Republic of Korea, October 11, 2024] – Huawei managed to clinch the GSMA Digital Nation Award during the Mobile 360 (M360) Asia Pacific 2024 held in Seoul.
The awarded film, entitled “Smart 5G Warehouse – Future of Logistics,” exemplifies how the emerging 5G technology is elevating the growth of various industries.
The video was captured at the first 5G Smart Warehouse located in Indonesia, which marks an important milestone in the Indonesian Golden Vision 2045 digital economy framework.
James Chen, President of Huawei Carrier Business, unveiled alternative monetization strategies for carriers regarding 5G as well as various AI opportunities. He said,
We are still in the early stages of the AI revolution, and the opportunities generative AI will bring are beyond imagination,”
Chen further projected that by the year 2030, approximately 8 billion smart mobile devices will be found in homes around the world with the assistance of AI devices that not only use basic functional words. There will also be robots in the household and more of them will be in factories due to their larger market.
Chen raised the possibilities of large-scale service personalization in times of speaking 5G New Calling with its algorithm suggesting topics on the go and in the process of a phone call.
The subscribers of this service include over 22 million users who are residents of China.
“Operators must explore new business models, turning personalized user experiences into new commercial value,” Chen added.
Huawei also unveiled the Cloud Phone, which is an AI-enhanced product that is almost just a device except that it solves major problems such as data usage in games and low-end devices in storage. This will become a doorway to personal AI within the coming years.
Despite Huawei being at the fore, there have been no reported casualties in the spread of these technological advances. The firm intends modern technologies in general and Artificial Intelligence, in particular, to develop at a rapid pace together with world telecom operators, providing a business with up-to-date digital services in real-time for numerous in several sectors.
