Düsseldorf, Germany and Bangalore, India – 8th October 2024 – Technology consulting firm Infosys tied up with the Handelsblatt Research Institute (HRI) to present its report titled “AI Trend Report: How AI is Transforming Industries.”
The report leveraged Infosys Topaz, a generative AI solution, a pioneering move to make complex economic and financial data more accessible for diverse readerships.
The report dives into the various applications and potential of AI in industries like retail, agriculture, healthcare, logistics, and manufacturing. Yet, the collaborative report has no resemblance to traditional, PDF-based industry reports.
Instead, the Gen AI-powered online report offers interactive graphics and a customizable dashboard. This industry-first report aims to showcase how generative AI can simplify access, analytics and distribution of complex global reports for the public’s consumption.
The collaborators expect it will transform innovative, data-driven storytelling, especially for complex financial and economic information.The report’s stakeholders also included Wongdoody, the human experience agency of Infosys, and Infosys’ AI & Analytics team.
Although HRI has been committed to reshaping digital storytelling, its collaboration with Infosys shows how scientific, economic and financial data can be open-sourced using Gen AI.
Infosys Topaz can enable users to customize their reading experience by interacting with the report’s content, offering features such as summarization, audio conversion and even translation.
Dr. Jan Kleibrink, Managing Director of the Handelsblatt Research Institute, explained that AI-based functionalities can take digital storytelling to a new level with text-to-speech or summaries of key takeaways.
Ashiss Kumar Dash, EVP & Global Head – Sustainability, Services, Utilities, Resources and Energy, Infosys, expressed excitement at the collaborative effort. He further stated,
