Israel will become the first country in the world to offer every student access to a personal AI-based tutor, according to the official press release.
The initiative will roll out nationally through a partnership between Israeli education giant CET (Center for Educational Technology) and AI avatar platform eSelf. It will help students both inside and outside the classroom.

It includes a smart, interactive avatar that acts as a digital tutor. It is designed to help students with exam prep, lesson comprehension, and problem solving.
The AI-based tutor continuously adapts to each student’s pace and learning style.
More than just a chatbot, it responds in real time with customized explanations and can even be personalized in look and personality.
“We’re partnering with eSelf to provide a personal AI tutor to every student in Israel,” Tzachi Langer, VP of Marketing and Product at CET said.
“This partnership is just the first step in making AI a truly accessible tool for students nationwide, increasing educational equity and empowering Israel’s children to feel more confident in their academic capabilities and potential.”
Initially launching in Hebrew, the multilingual AI system is expected to expand to other languages. Harvard University will serve as an academic advisor during the pilot phase, a move that underscores the project’s educational credibility.
Harvard’s Victor Pereira, a faculty leader in teaching innovation, hailed the program as a “transformative opportunity” to bridge deep-rooted socioeconomic divides.
