The accomplishment of KPMG’s Australian division demonstrates its commitment to integrating “Trusted AI” practices into all facets of its business operations, ensuring the ethical application of AI. The significant achievement also establishes a model for other organizations looking to build trust in responsible AI technologies.
The President of Regulatory Services at BSI, Manuela Gazzard, commended KPMG for being at the forefront of establishing AI regulations, calling it a critical step in guaranteeing AI’s responsible incorporation into society. The Chief Digital Officer of KPMG Australia, John Munnelly, stated,
“AI can solve complex challenges, and unlock new possibilities for growth. We are committed to helping our clients embrace this technology in a trustworthy and ethical manner, enhancing both efficiency and innovation.”
The certification, a world’s first, shows that businesses can adopt AI at scale while having ethical and responsible guardrails in place. Although the certification guidelines were published in the UK less than a year ago, the move aligns with the need to reward ethical AI adoption.
