Lenovo Unveils Solar-Powered PC Concept and AI Laptops at MWC 2025

Barcelona – On the occasion of MWC 2025, Lenovo has launched a broad portfolio of Yoga and IdeaPad laptops powered by AI, along with promising proofs of concept that use artificial intelligence to enhance creativity and productivity in this world of consumers.

“As we push the limits of AI innovation higher than ever, it is important to remember that delivering access to AI for all is equally a core tenet of Lenovo’s philosophy. Likewise, as we endeavor to redefine the boundaries of power in technology, we must ensure that it continues to be a positive force,” said Jun Ouyang, Lenovo’s Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Consumer Segment, Intelligent Devices Group.

“With the announcement of innovations like the Yoga Pro 9i Aura Edition, the IdeaPad Slim 3x, and the Lenovo Yoga Solar PC Concept, Lenovo has delivered a suite of new devices and proofs of concept that empower end users to let their creativity shine, their ‘process’ unbounded by the processing of their PC thanks to AI-powered innovation.”

The announcement includes the groundbreaking Yoga Solar PC Concept, featuring solar panel technology with conversion rates well over 24 percent-perhaps the highest of any company in the industry. This ultra-slim device weighs only 1.22kg and can convert 20 minutes of direct sunlight into one hour of video playback power.

Lenovo also introduced the new Aura Edition laptops developed with Intel, including the Yoga Pro 9i Aura Edition, which brings as much as NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 into the GPU list, and tandem OLED display technology up to 1600 nits in peak brightness. It also introduced the IdeaPad Slim 3x, which runs on Snapdragon X processor having a 45 TOPS NPU for AI-driven productive computing at a more affordable price point.

Examples of such include the Solar Power Kit for Yoga, AI Display with NPU, and Lenovo AI Stick – all proofs of concept that testify to Lenovo’s intent to push technological limits as well as create AI powers more accessible.

The new devices will be available starting March 2025, with the IdeaPad Slim 3x starting at €599, and the premium Yoga Pro 9i Aura Edition launching in June 2025 at €1699.
