November 13, 2024, Berlin.-At the fifth conference of the 5th Generation Automotive Association in Berlin, LG Electronics revealed its advanced V2X technology and what’s its potential in terms of improving safety and ushering in new mobility.
In a bid to improve traffic control, the Soft v2x system – combined with the Smart roadside unit (RSUs) provides information transfer between vehicles, pedestrians, and traffic structures within seconds to ensure accidents are prevented.
Korea’s Kim Hak-seong, who heads the Advanced V2X Task, said:
“This allows us to embrace this invention as the global standard in the seamless determination of mobility.”
The demonstration gave an understanding of what to expect as users were already shown the uses of the technologies designed to prevent and warn others about the presence of pedestrians crossing roads and emergency vehicles.
The company stressed its engagement in following European and North American requirements for the development of its V2X, quality which is intended for scaling and international approach.
LG seeks to make the V2X technologies strengthen the bearers of autonomous and connected cars in a coordinated approach with the global car makers.
Hybrid V2X is how LG refers to its vision of V2X, emphasizing the need to integrate network communications with direct device connection methods to improve resilience and coverage in moving forward into the future.
