Taipei, Taiwan – November 8, 2024-LITEON Technology (2301-tw) achieved impressive performance in October 2024 with revenues of NT$ 12.4 billion. October’s revenue marks a 5% growth compared to the previous month and a slight increase of one percent compared to the same month last year.
This growth is primarily attributed to the increasing demand for opto-semiconductors and AI-powered power management, especially in the cloud and advanced networking industries. Optoelectronics accounted for twenty percent of the total revenue and was thus another factor in the company’s performance.
This sector performed excellently driven by global demand for Liteon’s photocouplers and infrared applications. The trend of semiconductor applications within optoelectronics experienced further growth, with this attributed to the increasing relevance of AI and IoT across sectors.
“Our oeo division is doing well. This is encouraging since it shows that our global strategies are bearing fruit as well as new products,”
Explained John Lin, LITEON’s chief technology officer.
The Cloud & AIoT unit, which represents 40% of the company’s sales was however unable to miss the progress due to the AI-centric networking and power management systems for sophisticated data centers and basic supporting infrastructure while the AI systems have quite high demand.
“Our AIoT solutions are meeting the requirements of a market that is fast growing and calls for responsive and scalable intelligent systems,”
Said Lucy Wang, the Cloud Solutions department head. This segment registered a YoY growth of over 20% with LITEON providing evidence of its role in applying AI on Cloud Infrastructure.
On sales, the Information Technology & Consumer Electronics segment which accounted for the remaining 40% of sales was also steadily emphasizing selling off second-generation power supplies, AI boosters/ peripheries, and product enhancements.
The aggregate revenue of LITEON from January to October 2024 stood at 111.2B NT dollars, securing it as a tech creator.
LITEON is in the process of leveraging the AI based growth of the cloud and opto-electronics technologies.
This step has also heightened the company’s market share as demand for connected and smart systems continues to grow across all parts of the world.
