Seattle, WA – October 21, 2024-Microsoft announced the introduced another revolutionary feature with its Dynamics 365 platform – ten new autonomous agents that can be utilized to re-engineer critical business processes in different fields.
The primary role of these AI-driven agents is to optimize work in such currently critical areas as sales, services, and supply chain, finance management.
The launch of these agents also represents Microsoft’s wider commitment to moving towards AI-first business models capable of scaling clients’ operations without increasing headcount.
Companies such as Honeywell, Finastra, and Pets at Home have been the first to adopt and start utilizing these AI agents, and it is paying off. Honeywell claims that thanks to these agents, its productivity can be likened to the addition of 187 FTE staff members.
Other companies like Finastra have experienced significant reductions in how long it takes to produce creative work.
In the same line, McKinsey & Company said that when an autonomous agent was employed, the time taken to onboard new clients dropped by 90%, helping to improve the overall efficiency of operations immensely.
These agents make use of Microsoft 365 Graph, Dataverse, and Fabric, which facilitates integration into existing enterprise structures. Next month, Microsoft will be changing the autonomous agent capabilities of Copilot Studio from a private preview to a public preview allowing a larger number of companies to personalize and deploy agents fitting to them.
Apart from these, Microsoft will be focusing on security and governance around data to ensure that companies have adequate controls in place as AI-centered strategies are being adopted.
