Meta-owned messaging application, WhatsApp, is winning hearts among many countries with its Meta AI Chatbot. To step up the game, WhatsApp is developing a new fun feature allowing users to experience a more personalized version of the application. With this tool, anyone could make his avatar on the platform and use it.
What is WhatsApp’s new AI avatar generator?
The upcoming feature seen in the new WhatsApp version for Android 2.24.14.7 is expected to use an amalgamation of user-uploaded graphics, texts, and Meta’s AI Llama model for creating the avatars. With just a selfie, this ground-breaking feature would be able to create an avatar for the user.
On July 2, WABetaInfo shared on X, “WhatsApp is working on an optional feature to generate images of you using Meta AI! An article with additional details is already scheduled for publication soon.” It mentions that the users can visualize themselves in settings ranging from the forest to outer space.
How can we use WhatsApp AI avatar generator?
To make an avatar, WhatsApp users are supposed to take their pictures once. These images will be used to train Meta AI to make the desired avatars according to the user in any defined setting. It is easy for the users to generate the avatar by simply writing the text, “Imagine me” with the setting’s description in the Meta AI Chatbox or other WhatsApp chats by writing “@Meta AI imagine me…”
It will be an optional feature for the users, where they would have to enable it manually in the application’s settings. As per WABetaInfo, the reference pictures that are uploaded to create avatars can be removed at any time by using the platform settings.
With AI ruling the world currently, we can expect a more personalized version of these applications as they are all about “moving fast” and staying connected. WhatsApp has yet not confirmed any date of availability of this new feature, however, it can be expected anytime soon!
