Palo Alto Networks Outlines the Convergence of Cybersecurity and AI with 7 Game-Changing

Santa Clara, Calif., November 14, 2024 — Palo Alto Networks(PANW) announced today seven strategic predictions at the crossroads of A.I and cybersecurity, claiming that while the threats posed by AI may be next-level, advanced technology will be used to combat them.

The firm however signals what it terms as a possible “AI duel” arms race, arguing that adaptability and speed will be the most important assets in the year 2025.

The report anticipates that AI will be effective in automating detection and response functions to a point where human analysts can prioritize strategic analysis and analytics.

“We stand at a crossroads today, in the sense that cyber security has taken a completely different bend,”

Said Nir Zuk, the founder and CTO of Palo Alto Networks.

“If organizations wish to prevail over AI-driven cybersecurity threats, they need to adopt a unified platform approach.”

A shift that This transformation will be supported by federated systems and policies, powered by AI-enabled data security architecture.

Furthermore, Palo Alto Networks anticipates an energy trend but on a different level as Quantum AI Frameworks begin to develop to help solve the growing energy needs of AI workloads.

Citing wearables increases the threat landscape for businesses, the cybersecurity company also highlighted the importance for firms to use enterprise-grade web browsers.

In anticipation of breaches in the future, as Quantum computing becomes more practicable, it is advised to have quantum-resistant encryption implemented, as suggested by Palo Alto Networks.

“There needs to be a balance to the woo surrounding quantum security, with actionable steps,”

Zuk added. By 2025, AI usage both for leadership and in its implementation during an organization’s practices will become prominent, with CIOs and CMOs spearheading AI management.

With these predictions, Palo Alto Networks seeks to empower organizations with countermeasures to safeguard their AI-led digital transformation along with active threats of change.
