Kolkata, India – 4th October 2024 – The India division of accounting and auditing leaders PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) announced a strategic partnership with AI giant Meta to scale its Generative AI solutions portfolio. The two companies will work on Meta’s open-source Llama 3.2 model to deploy Gen AI solutions for enterprises and consumers.
Although details about the strategic partnership with Meta were not made public, the announcement to democratize generative AI was highlighted by various stakeholders of PwC India. PwC’s official X handle, @PwC_IN, announced the partnership, saying,

The tweet also quoted Sandhya Devanathan, the Vice President and Head of Meta India, who expressed
, “We believe that GenAI has the potential to create a paradigm shift in India’s digital landscape, and we’re committed to working with stakeholders to ensure its widespread adoption and impact.”
The move comes against the backdrop of the Indian government’s push for AI development and adoption through its IndiaAI Mission. The move also builds on PwC India’s work with the GenAI Lab to develop innovative AI solutions for its employees and clients.
The partnership with Meta will help PwC India improve its open-source AI portfolio, validated by Manpreet Singh Ahuja, the Chief Digital Office at PwC India saying,
“Our collaboration with Meta on Llama 3.2 reflects our commitment to open-source innovation, making AI more accessible, secure and transformative for all.”
Sanjeev Krishnan, the chairperson of PwC India, posted on X to announce the partnership saying,

Sachchidanand Singh, an industry observer and the Head of Data Engineering at the National Payments Corporation Of India (NPCI) also posted on X about PwC India partnering with Meta for generative AI solutions, and how the collaboration will help PwC build enterprise-grade solutions by blending Meta’s technological capabilities with its industry expertise.
