MAUI, October 23, 2024 – Qualcomm Technologies has announced a landmark multi-year collaboration with Google to revolutionize automotive technology through advanced generative AI solutions, marking a significant step forward in digital vehicle transformation.
The two companies will integrate Snapdragon Digital Chassis and automotive solutions developed by Google in order to establish a common baseline for the AI-ready cockpit and SDV architecture.

This initiative will utilize Google AI to design user-friendly voice assistants, enhanced visuals of map interfaces, and timely information displays that will be facilitated by Snapdragon chipset edge AI SoCs and Qualcomm AI Hub.

The initiative focuses on two main components – a framework focused on developing a Digital Cockpit with specific applications of Generative AI technologies, and a Unified SDV Car to Cloud Framework enabling streamlined vehicle-to-cloud infrastructure development.
The endeavor also promotes a reduction in deployment cycles and allows for connected services via Google Cloud, a step considered revolutionary for automotive technology integration and the future of transportation.
