Samsung Debuts Energy-Efficient AI Refrigerators with Hybrid Cooling

December 19, 2024, Korea – Samsung Electronics now introduced its revolutionary intelligent AI Hybrid Cooling refrigerators which are about to be launched during CES 2025. This device will adopt the advanced cooling techniques combined with artificial intelligence to redefine energy efficiency, preservation, and interior capacity in modern appliances.

“Since refrigerators run 24/7, we placed a strong emphasis on developing a cooling system that meaningfully enhances energy efficiency for users,” said Jeong Seung Moon, EVP and Head of the R&D Team for Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics.

“With the global unveiling of the AI Hybrid Cooling technology, we are showcasing our commitment to technological innovation in home appliances. We will continue to introduce home appliances that incorporate innovative technologies to make consumers’ daily lives more convenient.“

The AI Hybrid Cooling system involves a Peltier module with a high-efficiency compressor for dynamic cooling power according to the needs of the refrigerator. This application minimizes energy use to provide optimal freshness for perishable items. Besides, Hybrid Precise Cooling reduces temperature fluctuations that extend food life. Tests by Samsung indicated that pork and salmon last 1.4 and 1.2 times longer, respectively.

Redesigned interiors give a 25-liter capacity increase with deeper shelves and efficient space use. The refrigerators are expected to meet the ENERGY STAR’s Most Efficient standards in the year 2025. The development shows Samsung’s commitment to sustainability.

These refrigerators will be launched in CES 2025 as a new beginning in smart, energy-efficient, and user-friendly appliances for the home. Samsung remains ahead in the innovation chain for the future of smart home solutions.
