Samsung's 2024 Revenue Hits KRW 300.9 Trillion, AI and Premium Devices to Drive 2025 Growth

Korea – Samsung Electronics has made AI-driven innovation a core focus of its growth strategy for 2025, having just declared Q4 revenues of KRW 75.8 trillion and a total revenue for 2024 of KRW 300.9 trillion. AI will empower devices and premium tech, despite challenges posed by the market. For Samsung, AI has become a way of realizing digital transformation across its various divisions, ranging from semiconductors and smartphones to displays and home entertainment; their AI strategy includes them all.

Mobile eXperience has put AI at the forefront of its product offerings. Galaxy AI is a suite of AI features integrated into the Samsung ecosystem, and it drove double-digit growth of the Galaxy S24 series in the year 2024. With the launch of the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung is determined to enhance its position in AI-powered smartphones to give even more personalized and intelligent experiences.

In the future, Samsung will likely be applying AI in their tablets, wearables, notebooks, and an upcoming XR device so that there can be a seamless AI-enabled ecosystem.

Samsung’s semiconductor division is optimizing its memory and foundry business to supplement the AI revolution. With increasing demands for HBM and DDR5 working for AI workloads, Samsung is speeding up the transition to cutting-edge nodes.

The company is investing heavily in HBM, DDR5, LPDDR5x, and GDDR7 production related mostly to AI training, inference, and high-performance computing. Samsung will also ramp-up development for 2nm Gate-All-Around process technology, mostly for the next generation of AI chips.

In the meanwhile, Samsung Display Corporation (SDC) is making a great effort to create AI-based visual experiences. Hence, it is working on AI-based image processing and adaptive AI functions for smartphones, TVs, and monitors, ensuring optimum display performance and user experience.

The Visual Display division is pushing the Home AI vision for embedding AI into smart TVs and connected devices via SmartThings and Samsung Knox. AI-enabled features for the TV will come out in 2025 to improve the quality of images, recommendations of content, and voice control to change home entertainment.

Samsung is positioning itself as the host for AI-powered innovations, working with AI across hardware, software, and ecosystem integration. Samsung is molding the future of AI-based tech across the globe with its AI-driven smartphones, memory chips, intelligent displays, and smart home solutions.
