Samsung Launches One UI 7 Beta, Revolutionizing Security in the AI Era

December 6, 2024,  Seoul, South Korea – Samsung Electronics has kicked off the One UI 7 beta program with phenomenal security upgrades for Galaxy devices. The innovations brought by this update include Knox Matrix, Theft Protection augmentations, and greater privacy controls, all aimed at keeping users on the safe side in this hyperconnected world.

Knox Matrix incorporates the Trust Chain, a secure private blockchain to monitor all connected Samsung devices, offering real-time transparency via a central dashboard. Enhanced Data Protection allows very seamless recovery of private data, whereas passkeys allow secure logins across devices.

Maximum Restrictions introduces advanced security features including 2G blocking, enhanced Wi-Fi security, and tools that protect users from risks arising from sideloading through the Safe Install system. Theft Protection also extends to biometric verification for critical settings and a delay mechanism to avert unauthorized changes.

The One UI 7 beta is currently available for users of the Galaxy S24 series in select countries. Its full rollout, however, starts in 2025. It shows Samsung’s quest to evolve towards security and privacy even in the age of AI and a better experience for users in terms of owning an incredibly safe and controlled device.
