WBD Sports Team Ups With AWS
The new platform plans to enhance broadcast efficiency and storytelling by providing commentators with instant, data-rich information. WBD Sports described CCI as an “innovative AI-powered platform”. The platform changes how mountain biking is delivered to fans worldwide.
With real-time access to rider statistics, venue history, and past race performances, CCI plans improve research and live commentary. “This is truly revolutionary,” said Chris Ball, VP of Cycling Events at WBD Sports. “We’re setting new standards for how mountain bike events are brought to life for viewers around the globe.”
WBD Sports assets that CCI will allow commentators to deliver more engaging, context-based commentary with the help of AWS.
“AWS is helping Warner Bros. Discovery enhance the art of sports storytelling through the practical uses of generative AI,” said Samira Panah Bakhtiar. “This collaboration showcases how AWS’ generative AI services can amplify human expertise. By handling time-consuming research and data synthesis tasks, CCI frees up WBD’s talented commentary teams to focus on their passion and ability to capture the excitement of live sports.”
WBD Sports also has some plans to expand CCI throughout the 2025 season, along with new features.
